Comments on "Japanese Whaling Fleet Heads for Antarctica...Whale Wars?"

whales are ...
whales are decreasing?funny propaganda. who? butchered countless whales???? Australia,NZ,U.S. and UK thats all.so they want to force the responsibility on Japan. They lied and made propaganda and criticize others and justify themeselves.

Whales? are much ...
Whales? are much more valuable to the world than the Japanese people are.. I wish it was the other way, with whales hunting down these illegal Japanese whalers.

Who gives a s**t? ...
Who gives a s**t? I'm as Liberal as they come but jesus-f**king-f**k who gives a s**t about whales with the current state of our country and international greed and bulls**t wars going on? Whale populations have been on the rise? since the 70s and 80s due to warmer weather patterns (thanks global warming! /sarcasm). Killing some whales for it's MEAT is fine. What's wrong with that? They are using the entire body: fat, meat, bones, etc. for everything from crafting goods, to fuel, to meat. #TRUTH

@burntonion05 ...
@burntonion05 that's a good point. We should definitely focus on species? at a critical point. For example, I'm much more concerned about Tiger populations than species less in danger. I too have mixed feelings about sea sheperd. they definitely bulls**t and grab headlines as much as possible. On the other hand, they have had a number of tangible successes. And I'm all for the ends justifying the means, so...

@burntonion05 " I ...
@burntonion05 " I would like to know which specific species are in danger of being extinct and? which are being hunted." - Hey jst a quick note on this comment to say, you are on the internet, you could search for this information - IF you really wanted to know

@burntonion05 "I ...
@burntonion05 "I don't think supply has anything to do with this issue. To think it does is to miss the point IMO" - Alright, well I've been involved with Green Peace in NZ for a number of years now and Im pretty sure their reason at least is as follows; "Overexploit, cheat, deplete. The cycle of greed behind the global whaling industry drove one whale population after another toward oblivion. It is still not known? if some species will ever recover, even after decades of protection."

@Demarcoa ...
@Demarcoa Everything in the ocean is on the decline with the exception of things like jellyfish. I would like to know which specific species are in danger of being extinct and which are being hunted. I don't support the hunting of whales but IMO if people are doing it for food then I can at least understand. As for as the sea shepherd, I have mixed feelings about what they are? doing.

@shandc**t I don't ...
@shandc**t I don't think supply has anything to do with this issue. To think it does is to miss the? point IMO. Go ahead and call me a fool but it doesn't make your argument any more valid.

@burntonion05 whale ...
@burntonion05 whale population, overall, is on the decline. I can't speak for every species and genus of whale. The only specific species I happen to know offhand is Killer Whale (which lives in Antarcitca so is quite relevant to this issue). What's wrong with having a show to direct attention to a specific issue?? TV has done stuff like this for years.

@burntonion05 from ...
@burntonion05 from what I understand the whale population is recovering but very slowly. Being a large mammal their life cycles resemble ours they don't reach reproductive maturity until their twenties, and then females only? have one calf every 4 or 5 years. Some species such as the Blues are still critical and hunting them now would knock them back 50 years. There are only a couple of thousand left in the world if their population goes below a certain level they will become functionally extinct

It? is a recipes ...
It? is a recipes research, duh.

the question is who ...
the question is who holds sovereign idk "domain" or jurisdiction around those antarctic waters. Is? it us?

@JustaEropeanGuy ...
@JustaEropeanGuy Because I? read Japanese News Sources?

@TheYouthHeroic? ...
@TheYouthHeroic? how do you know?

@burntonion05 "So ...
@burntonion05 "So you are saying if whales could be farmed? that people wouldn't mind? I think you are wrong" - What are you talking about fool? its because whale populations are endangered, ie. there is a risk of wiping out whole species. thats why people want whaling to stop, if it was a sustainable activity then no one would mind - see the way we treat chickens, kangaroo, etc (Yeah, they farm kangaroo for meat in australia - the national emblym, available from all supermarkets and cheap)

@shandc**t So you ...
@shandc**t So you are saying if whales could be farmed that people? wouldn't mind? I think you are wrong.

@burntonion05 Were ...
@burntonion05 Were are a society that makes a reality? tv show about a group of so called "italians" doing nothing but partying and drinking. This is America my friend.

@TalladegaTom Their ...
@TalladegaTom Their anti-Chinese? sentiments at work again :)

Have the Japs ...
Have the Japs still? not got the pic showing it was really Chicken and Cow and Not whale and Dolphin yet?

The Japanese " ...
The Japanese "researchers" most certainly DO sell meat. Japanese? law allows it.

As a Norwegian who ...
As a Norwegian who even owns a t-shirt that, humorously with some irony, says; "Fry? Willy. We kill whales for fun.".Its pretty clear that the Japanese whaling is illegal and the science argument is just a scam. Whales captured and killed for science are few and not usually sold. Norweigan do whaling as well,within tolerances.People eat fish,whales eat fish. Its all about balance .Which is whats missing from the Japanese side and the reason they use the bogus "science" claim.

@burntonion05 you ...
@burntonion05 you miss the point... what? Japan is doing is illegal.

@JustaEropeanGuy ...
@JustaEropeanGuy Well, if we? did the same thing, "the Japanese" would say "the Americans".

I don't exactly ...
I don't exactly like the way they say "the japanese"? altho I don't know exactly what term they would use.

@ ...
@historicalogicalness Oh..? Agreed

@SuperBenzid It was ...
@SuperBenzid It was a comment on how his comment is? barely readable.

@ ...
@historicalogicalness I agree with him the Japanese are engaged? in piracy therefore they should be fired upon.

@burntonion05 many ...
@burntonion05 many species of whales are endangered. Therefore if actions aren't taken to protect them and their natural environment they may one day no longer exist. This will definitely upset the natural balance of things the waters. Its not so much that people just love whales for the same reason they like teddy bears, whales are an important part of the marine eco-system Also cows are domesticated, are in? no danger of extinction, kind of a silly analogy
